BJJ Summer Camp 2025
June 27 - July 4
Kaprovani, Georgia
Camp Overview
The camp’s mission is to blend training with vacation vibes: sharpen your jiu-jitsu skills, learn new techniques and concepts, and enjoy the seaside and a friendly community. We emphasize a conceptual, hands-on learning approach, focusing on core principles of effective grappling rather than an overload of random moves.
Our instructors
Meet some of our highly qualified BJJ instructors who will be leading the training sessions at the camp.
  • Chris Paines
Black belt from England (awarded by Priit Mihkelson in 2019), the head coach of Fighting Fit Grappling in the UK, and an active competitor. He is known for his unique conceptual teaching style, with a strong emphasis on defense and fundamental principles of grappling. Chris offers a groundbreaking perspective on BJJ defense, focusing on controlling space and timing to shut down opponents’ attacks. He has authored several best-selling instructional videos on BJJ Fanatics (including “How to Defend Against Everyone”), underscoring his international acclaim. A true globetrotting instructor, Chris has taught at many international BJJ camps (such as BJJ Globetrotters), earning a reputation as a dynamic, fun, and insightful teacher. At the camp, you can expect his trademark style of instruction: concept-driven, engaging, and delivered with clarity and humor.
Chris Paines demonstrates a technique during training. As an instructor, he emphasizes understanding the “why” behind each move, ensuring that students build strong fundamentals.
  • Naqi Arshed
Black belt from the UK who shares the same lineage as Chris (under Priit Mihkelson). Naqi is renowned for his dynamic, offensive grappling style, with a unique ability to blend MMA techniques into his Jiu-Jitsu game, making his approach exceptionally effective and exciting to watch. He’s an accomplished competitor with medals in high-profile tournaments including ADCC UK, Roll Models, BJJ247, Sub Zero, and Grapple Nation. As an instructor, Naqi has shared his expertise internationally; he has taught at camps and seminars alongside other top coaches (for instance, teaching back-to-back sessions with Chris at global BJJ events). Naqi brings fresh perspective and energy to our camp: you’ll learn cutting-edge offensive techniques from him and gain insight into combining stand-up and ground fighting strategies.
BJJ black belt Naqi Arshed will be teaching his aggressive grappling style at the camp. Naqi’s sessions will help you add explosive takedowns and submissions to your arsenal.
Camp Schedule
Our camp offers a structured program for learning and development with daily BJJ training including technique, sparring and conditioning.

June 27

is arrival and check-in at Keriya Hotel; in the evening we’ll have a welcome meet-and-greet and an open mat session to get warmed up
June 28 to July 3
you’ll follow a daily routine of training: typically 2 classes per day – a morning session and an evening session (Chris and Naqi will alternate, covering different topics in both GI and No-GI). A sample day might look like: morning training around 10:00–12:00, followed by open mat or sparring. Then you’ll have the afternoon free to relax – hit the private beach, explore local sights, or just rest. In late afternoon, another two-hour class (~5:00–7:00 PM) takes place, after which you’ll have time for free rolling, asking instructors questions, and hanging out. Some days may feature special seminars or workshops (for example, strategy sessions or Q&A discussions)
July 4
will include a final morning class, a farewell open mat, and a group photo to cap off the camp
We’ve also planned fun evening activities throughout the week, such as group dinners, beach BBQ nights, and game nights, to foster camaraderie and make sure the experience is as social as it is educational. (Note: The exact timetable might be adjusted; a detailed program will be provided at check-in.)
Camp vibes: plenty of mat time and a friendly atmosphere. Between formal classes, you’ll enjoy open mats to drill techniques or spar freely with teammates.
